In engineering no component is “the best” or “perfect”, fundamentally, our best option is based on our specification, we can easily overengineer our circuits and waste a lot of money getting a top of the range part but this is not implicitly the best, we value both functionality and cost.

Example:

For instance between two cars:

  • Nissan Micra
  • F1 RB19 Car

Initially we would be tempted to think that the F1 is the best car, however there are many metrics that the Nissan Micra beats it on, such as Fuel Economy, Storage Capacity, Price etc

So it turns out that regardless of how amazing the F1 car is, if we’re looking for a car to take to the shops we are much better to take the Nissan Micra
