Abstract
There are 3 types of Jitter:
- Random Jitter: This type of jitter arises from electrical and thermal noise in the communication system. This is considered to have a normal distribution, therefore the variation can be determined by Gaussian statistics
- Deterministic Jitter: This comes from the actual constraints of the system and is therefore predicatable, and we can attempt to mitigate the effects on the system.
- Total Jitter: This is defined by:
Where is a scaling factor that depends on the allowed error of the system.
